Muladhara Chakra – vitality and inner stability
In the subtle structure of the human being there are 7 energetic zones, 7 complex fundamental systems that include all possible human experiences. These subtle organs are known as chakras ( centers of force or foci of power).
7 chakras or main centers of force are described.
Muladhara, the seat of vitality…
and of the mysterious kundalini energy, it is a basal center.
It has the lowest vibrational frequency of all seven main centers of force. Through Muladhara we feel the energies of vitality, which allow the functioning of the whole organism.
*However, each of the 7 centers is essential, regardless of its frequency of vibration.
Muladhara – a lotus with 4 petals having the following characteristics:
Location: at the base of the column, projecting into the subtle plane in the area of the perineum.
Specific states:
- the instinct of survival, of self-preservation
- the need for accumulation at the material level
- stability
- crude, unrefined power
- Vitality
- interior energy comfort
- self-confidence on a physical level
- the state of belonging to the group
The specific harmonious way of behavior at Muladhara’s level is to conceive of the entire physical world as a new and thrilling experience.
Specific reactions in the case of imbalances: fear.
Sense organ:
nose.
Sense:
smell.
Organs of controlled action and functions: excretory function, reproductive organs, sex glands, legs.
Specific color:
yellow-clay, being in connection with the subtle earth element.
Abheda Yoga recommendation for the dynamization of the center:
Bhadrasana – the posture of the throne
Bhadrasana soothes the mind and amplifies the state of stability, of steadfastness, intensely dynamiting the Muladhara Chakra (the center of vitality). Due to this dynamization, following the practice of asana we will be able to notice an amplification of vitality.
