We will be able to download new skills into our brains like the characters in the movie ,, The Matrix”, this will become a reality in surt time, say scientists!
Carrie-Anne Moss and Keanu Reeves in the movie “The Matrix” gained superpower just by simply connecting to a computer program that taught them new skills.
Learning martial arts, how to fly an airplane, or how to speak a foreign language without even being awake, is about to become a reality, the researchers tell us.
Researchers at Boston University and atr Computational Neuroscience Laboratories in Kyoto, Japan, believe that in the future learning new skills could only mean sitting in front of a computer screen, waiting for them to be “loaded” into our brains.
They studied how a machine works through functional magnetic resonance (FMR) can “induce” a person’s knowledge through the visual cortex, sending signals to change their pattern of brain activity.
No medication should be taken and the subject should not even be awake, he or she will simply change the pattern of brain activity according to a “target” model such as that of a famous footballer or an international chess master.
Lead author Takeo Watanabe of Boston University says:,, Visual areas in the cortex of adults are plastic enough to provoke perceptive visual learning.”
The researchers know that this technique works because the FMR volunteers were subjected to visual skill tests, and their results compared to those of people who did not follow the same treatment, were overly good.
In the film’s trilogy, “Matrix”, several characters learn new skills by simply being connected directly to a computer, which downloads these new skills into their brains.
The day we will also be able to do this is not far away, the researchers say.
The results of these studies were published in the journal Sience.
