My dear ones
What is INTEGRITY?
In my opinion it is one of the highest human
virtues and represents the match between a person’s values, principles and actions.
This involves authenticity, honesty and a firm commitment
to what the reseptive man wholeheartedly believes to be right,
regardless of external circumstances or pressures.
From a spiritual, ethical and moral point of view,
integrity is the foundation of human
character and is closely related to other virtues
such as respect, responsibility, courage and the spirit of sacrifice.
A person of integrity:
1. Tell the truth – even when it is difficult or risky,
a person of integrity does not compromise his honesty; the only upper threshold here would be the fact that truth without love is cruelty, so it is necessary to take this into account as well 2. Keep their promises – they do not break their commitments,
regardless of the temptations or difficulties encountered. 3. They have a deep sense of existence and values with meanings that they consider high or even spiritual , for which they deserve to live and for which they even deserve to die. 4. He acts according to values – he has values with high meanings, including spiritual values and his decisions and behaviors
are aligned with his moral principles and values 5. She is responsible – she assumes the consequences of her
actions and does not look for excuses or external culprits. 6. Stay true to your inner truth – do not allow compromises that could violate
the essence of your own moral identity. 7. Shows a spirit of sacrifice to support his integrity when temptations, difficulties or dangers arise that require heroism to surpass them, in defense of his own integrity Integrity can be perceived as an inner compass that guides the individual towards what is right and right, even in the face of the temptation to obtain personal advantages through compromises.
It is an essential virtue for trust – both in interpersonal relationships and at the level of the community as a whole.
Without integrity, the foundation of relationships and social institutions would be shaken.
That’s why having integrity doesn’t just mean being honest,
but inadvertently becoming an example of consistency between what you think, say and do.
Could we say of a man of integrity that he is a dharmik man?
Yes, we can say about a man of integrity that he is a dharmik man,
because integrity and the concept of DHARMA are closely related. DHARMA means
- The Spiritual Path
- the assumed responsibilities of a man
- Universal values
- universal order or divine order.
A dharmik man is someone who lives
in accordance with universal spiritual, moral and ethical values,
respecting what is right and right from a spiritual and social point of view.
Arguments why a man of integrity can be considered a dharmik
Consistency between thoughts, words, and actions
Integrity involves aligning what a person thinks, says, and does,
and this is a fundamental quality of the Dharma.
A dharmik avoids hypocrisy and lives in accordance with universal values. Observance of moral
dutyIn the spiritual tradition, dharma involves respecting duties
(both personal and universal) to oneself, family, society, and divinity. Similarly, a man of integrity acts according to moral and ethical principles,
regardless of external pressures.
Truth and Honesty (Satya)
A dharmik man respects the truth, a central aspect of integrity.
Satya (truth) is one of the main pillars of the dharma,
and honesty is a defining characteristic of a person of integrity. Self-discipline, spirit of sacrifice and moral
courageBoth integrity and dharma involve the ability to resist temptations
and do what is right, even when it is difficult, painful, or unpopular. Harmony and balance
A dharmik man seeks to live in harmony with himself and others,
respecting the natural and universal order. Integrity, in turn, involves the
balance between inner values and external actions.
In the context of the dharma, a person’s
actions and values are strongly influenced by their
roles and responsibilities (such as family, social, or spiritual duties). Thus, in order to consider a person “dharmika,”
we must also take into account how he or she complies with these specific duties.
In short, a man of integrity can be described as a dharmik,
But with the understanding that the Dharma implies a broader meaning,
which includes not only personal morality
but also the contribution to harmony and universal order.
