Nirvanashaktam – Six stanzas about the release

This wonderful poem is so precious that it is worth memorizing and reciting it in meditation as in the waking state with open eyes, reflecting with spiritual intuition on it.
It captures in a rare and very complete way the Truth of our authentic inner identity and of the nature of the Universe and even it alone CAN CONSTITUTE A COMPLETE INITIATION FOR THE AUTHENTIC SPIRITUAL SEEKER.

(I am Consciousness and Happiness without Form, I am SHIVA. I am SHIVA)

They are neither the intellect, nor the thinking, nor the sense of self, nor the mind.

They are neither hearing, nor taste, nor smell, nor sight.

They are neither the ether, nor the earth, nor the fire, nor the air.

I am Consciousness and Happiness without Form, I am SHIVA, I am SHIVA…!

They are neither the vital breath nor the five vital ethers.

They are neither the seven components of the body, nor the five shells.

Nor are the five organs of action (organ of speech, hand, foot, organs of procreation and excretion).

I am Consciousness and Happiness without Form, I am SHIVA, I am SHIVA…!

They are neither aversion, nor attraction, nor avidity, nor wandering.

I know neither hubris nor envy.

I have no obligations, no interests, no desires, no passions.

I am Consciousness and Happiness without Form, I am SHIVA, I am SHIVA…!

For me there are no good actions, no bad actions, no pleasure, no suffering.

There are not even the ritual incantations, the holy places, the Vedas or the sacrificial act.

They are neither pleasure, nor the object of pleasure, nor the agent of pleasure.

I am Consciousness and Happiness without Form, I am SHIVA, I am SHIVA…!

I know neither death, nor doubt, nor caste differences.

I have neither my father nor my mother, because I am unborn.

I have no friend, no relative, no master, no disciple.

I am Consciousness and Happiness without Form, I am SHIVA, I am SHIVA…!

I am eternal, unchanged and formless.

By my ubiquity I exist everywhere.

I am not attached to the sense organs and that is why I have no desire.

I know neither freedom nor bondage,
