Shivaratri
— also called “the night without the moon”- is a moment with profound spiritual valences. This is a night of divine transcendence, very important for yogis around the world.

This moment claims:
-deep meditation
-unlearning unwanted habits and removing addictions
-new beginnings or changes of mentality.
*more about Shivaratri HERE.

Maha Shivaratri is an annual holiday of great importance in India. However, this holiday can be understood beyond the religious aspects, by the fact that it celebrates the Essence of every being and of the entire Universe, the Supreme Self, Transcendence.

This moment allows an exceptional qualitative leap in personal, spiritual evolution

Not anyway, but if we engage in spiritual activities we can obtain exceptional results that equate to the results obtained after a year of assiduous spiritual practice.

The most indicated yogic practices for Maha Shivaratri

  • devotional methods (Bhakti Yoga) – sincere prayers, Ananta (secret technique from Abheda Yoga)
  • relation to Shiva – the aspect of consciousness of the being, the eternal masculine
  • working with short secret mantras (bija) – Japa/ Ucchara
  • Anaharin – black fasting with water or a diet as pure as possible
  • fundamental meditations
  • meditations of “burning” karma
  • devotional withdrawals of short duration (12-24h).

Maha Shivaratri in India

Maha Shivaratri is the most important event in the Indian spiritual calendar, which symbolizes the “overcoming of darkness and ignorance” in life and in the world. They celebrate this holiday as an exceptional spiritual opportunity. That’s why I fast all day and stay awake all night, meditating intensely. The uninitiated repeat uninterrupted mantras, sing hymns of glory that are dedicated to Shiva, or adore the famous symbol, Shiva Lingam.
