KAMALATMIKA, the great divine power of evolution through inner fulfillment
Kamalatmika or Kamala
is the tenth and last of the ten Maha Vidya,
represented as a dazzlingly beautiful being
What Blesses All Beings in Manifestation
with the grace that constantly springs from her soul.
It is the divine splendor and wisdom
in manifestation,
that can be enjoyed at any time
of the celebration of existence, happiness, beauty and love.
It stands out for its outstanding quality.
It is considered as the great divine power
of evolution through fullness or fulfillment,
that is, it is the particular way of loving God and becoming spiritual,
living life as a series of fulfillments that fill our hearts.
Apparently anyone would want this
and it seems like the perfect way
But here we must take into account that,
such a situation is a particular case,
that do not offer very fast evolution,
except for people who have already gone through many and complex trials,
have assimilated many lessons
and what is left can be read from the perspective of plenitude.
Kamalatmika worship is fitting
For people who love fullness very much, more than other aspects:
transcendence and lucidity, in the case of Kali,
beauty, in the case of Tripura Sundari,
Transcendent mental emptiness in the case of Dhumavati…
To enjoy the spiritual perspective of the Kamalatmika type
It is necessary to have the ability to bypass spiritual traps
and to give attention to what is necessary
to keep us continuous,
or almost continuously, in contact with the experience that produces fulfillment.
If we don’t give up identifying with the ego
out of love for Kamalatmika and her gifts,
We isolate ourselves from the fullness and then walk the path in a different way.
As the beauty lover
loves and seeks God in the form of beauty,
so enamored of fullness seeks and finds God
in the form of various fulfillments specific to his particular case.
The embodiment of prosperity, purity and generosity,
She is adored for her calm and supreme peaceful nature
lived to the fullest.
Relating to it also brings us spiritual prosperity at the level of any shell that we access at:
Causal
Supramental
mental
pranic
physical.
Of course, it is often invoked for wealth, fertility, rich harvests, and luck.
Therefore, Kamalatmika is the Great Divine Power
of abundance and prosperity in all its forms.
She is the Divine Mother who fulfills all desires,
like a huge waterfall of Grace and divine love
which is poured out upon all creation.
Her nature is gentle, kind and benevolent.
We relate to it when we need peace and harmony.
It awakens and amplifies in us the longing for the reunification of the limited being with the infinite, with the divine that was in our heart,
overwhelming us with states of divine happiness.
It teaches us to discover God’s presence and all of reality as an outpouring of wealth and beauty.
We discover our divine nature,
the state of freedom and happiness
as a natural gift.
We discover that the most precious desire
which we should awaken and amplify
is to know God in our hearts.
Only in this way can we know beatific peace,
freedom, limitlessness and the fact that we are, in fact, immortal.
By amplifying in us the attributes specific to it
We will feel with all our being that…
the entire event
it is nothing but a splendid manifestation of God’s will and grace.
Finally, as a crowning of his qualities,
it helps us to see the beauty and divine manifestation in all that exists.
Meaning of name
Her name derives from the words “Kamala”, meaning “Lotus”
and “Atmika” – “essential soul or essence of being”.
Therefore, Kamalatmika could be translated as
“The one like the essence or the soul desiresi”.
The lotus symbolizes purity, it is represented
like a pleasant young woman, with a radiant complexion, delighting the senses
and arousing anyone’s admiration.
It represents the manifestation of the divine nature in the physical world,
being the great divine power of prosperity, purity, integrity, and generosity.
Symbolic representation
She is presented as a dazzlingly beautiful young woman with golden complexion.
She wears a crown with shiny jewels and is dressed
in a gorgeous red silk dress.
She also wears a kaustibha jewel
and a splendid waist band.
She is always smiling and her personal charm is overwhelming.
It is presented either standing,
either placed in the padmasana or lotus position
to symbolize purity.
Lotus
and elephant symbol
they are central elements, which reflect significant aspects of his being.
Lotus
Kamalatmika is born from a lotus flower
that floats on the waters of the boundless ocean of manifestation.
The lotus symbolizes the sacred and the very source
from which the entire manifestation is born.
It is the basic support of all creation.
It is also a symbol of development
and the inner spiritual evolution of the human being.
She herself is born from the ocean, representing the water of fulfillment,
of divine grace and love.
Water is a symbol of spiritual grace, love and communion.
Through the metaphor of the lotus, its alchemical power is represented
through which it rises from the shore and becomes a gorgeous, immaculate flower, whose beauty cannot go unnoticed.
In this way it demonstrates a special strength
to overcome any obstacle to its transformation and perfection.
Elephants
It is surrounded by two or four large elephants,
Who stand on either side of her and spill amrita
(the nectar of immortality) from Kalashas.
They are symbols of sovereignty, fertility, loyalty, and wisdom, reflecting the qualities that Kamalamika manifests perfectly.
They are prescient in that they have a strong sense of hearing and smell.
Hands
It has four arms, each of which is
the representation of a spiritual virtue.
In two arms she holds lotus flowers, symbols of purity and fertility.
With the other two arms he makes gestures of dedication, blessing and fearlessness, known as Varada and Abhaya Mudra, respectively.
Palms are always stretched out to give blessing.
Kamalatmika expressed an atmosphere of divine happiness, spiritual satisfaction, and prosperity.
Gold coins symbolize material and spiritual prosperity, as well as aspiration and devotion.
Connoisseurs of the Vedantic tradition often identify her with Lakshmi, the female counterpart of the great god Vishnu, that facet of the one God Brahman who has the mission of maintaining Creation.
David Frawley, alias Vamadeva Shastri,
in his book “Tantric Yoga and the Goddesses of Wisdom” he writes:
“Kamala is Lakshmi among the Dasha Mahavidya. Lakshmi is the Goddess of wealth, beauty, fertility, love and devotion, like the Roman Venus and the Greek Aphrodite, who, like Lakshmi, is born from the ocean, but on a seashell rather than on a lotus.
Lakshmi is the great mother in her role to fulfill all desires.
It represents the water of fulfillment, the flowering of divine grace and love.
Kamala is similar to sundari in that they both rule over love, beauty and happiness.
Sundari, however, rules in the subtle form of happiness born from the perception of the Self.
Kamala governs the outward form of beauty, not just as pleasure, but as the unfolding of divine nature in the realms of action and creation.”
Although this identification of Mahavidya Kamalatmika with Lakshmi is widespread,
We consider that this similarity is not significant
because Kamaltmika is someone else.
It is one of the 10 Mahavidya, which covers 360 degrees,
that is, the whole circle of the manifestation of the shakti or powers of the Supreme One Being.
It represents spiritual evolution through the worship of fullness,
One of the ways we can love immanence or limitation
rediscovering God, that is, transcendence or infinity.
Lakshmi is Vishnu’s counterpart
and has the attributes corresponding to this role.
The fact that some attributes resemble
does not mean that Lakshmi is Kamalatmika
nor can we identify Kamalatmika with Lakshmi,
being goddesses or Ishwari with different specific roles.
It helps us to get closer to the Divine in the beginning
by realizing ordinary human desires,
such as health, prosperity, and a happy family.
But in the end, it reveals to us the understanding of the divine,
seeing its presence even in the ordinary things of human life,
in the beauty of nature, in everything that surrounds us.
As an outpouring of his grace upon us,
We can see the appearance of unexpected chances, coincidences, synchronicities and unexpected successes.
“Kamala nurtures and supports whatever we really want to do.
She helps with all projects and promotes their fulfillment,
allowing the level of Divine grace
to appear to us in varying degrees of astonishment.
It can be invoked both for ordinary worldly purposes,
and for spiritual realization.
But the usual goals we look for through it
– wealth, descent or success –
should be part of the search for divine fulfillment in life,
an unfolding of the desires of our souls
through an organic process of evolution,
not a simple satisfaction of neurotic needs “, says Frawley.
How do we amplify in ourselves her extraordinary qualities?
There are various ways in which we can relate to it, which help us to develop the special qualities that it manifests.
Among these, the most obvious form of devotion to Kamala is to recognize in her the breathtaking divine beauty that manifests itself in nature.
Let’s recognize it in the splendors of nature.
Otherwise, we can do it by cultivating elevated emotions through art, contemplating a wonderful landscape, the joy of living.
Another form by which we can connect to it refers to Puja,
which involves offering him the offering of flowers, perfumed oils,
Incense, light, pure and fresh fruits.
