Rumi (Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi)
, one of the most famous and beloved Persian poets and mystics, lived in the XIII century between 1207-1273. A follower of Sufism, Rumi was “a mystic who amalgamated in himself the thinker and artist. In his entire creation he proslaved divine love, the spiritual guide of his entire life. He did not seek God outside, but in himself. 
Rumi, like other Sufies, such as Rabi’a, al-Hallaj, Bayazid Bistami, al-Ghazali, Ibn Arabi and many others, describes in his work the steps that the beloved Sufi climbs in search of God and, finally, the fusion with Him.
