An emperor received two falcons: one was trained and the other was told that he refused to detach himself from the branch on which he stood.
One of the servants had to climb the tree every day to bring him food. After trying in a way and face to make the hawk fly off the branch, the emperor asked his subjects to help him. A wise old man offered to do this himself, and the next day when he woke up, the emperor saw the falcon flying around.
– How did you do it? asked his subject
– It was very simple. All I had to do was cut off the branch from under his feet.
Morals: sometimes God cuts the branch from under our feet to remind us that we can fly.
