10 basic rules… to live the human experience
Rule No. 1 – You will receive a body
Whether you love your body or not, it’s yours for life, so accept it. What matters is within you.
Rule No. 2 – You will receive lessons
Life is a continuous learning experience, with every day bringing opportunities to learn more. Learning these lessons is the key to discovering and fulfilling your own life.
Rule No. 3 – There Are No Mistakes, There Are Only Lessons
Your evolution to wisdom is a process of experimentation, trial and error, so inevitably things won’t always go according to plan or turn out exactly the way you want them to.
Compassion is the remedy for harsh judgment – of ourselves and others. Forgiveness is not only divine – it represents “the behavior by which an emotional void is erased”. Behaving ethically, keeping your integrity and with humor – especially the ability to laugh at yourself and your own mistakes – confirms that “mistakes” are just lessons we must learn.
Rule no. 4 – The lesson is repeated until it is learned
Lessons are repeated until they are learned. What manifests itself as problems and challenges, inconveniences and frustrations are lessons – these will be repeated until you accept and learn them. Your awareness and ability to make changes are necessary elements for learning this rule.
Fundamental is also the acceptance that you are not a victim of circumstances or fate – the “causes” must be recognized; In other words: everything happens in relation to your way of being and your behavior. Blaming someone else for your own problems is a way to escape and deny; you alone are responsible for yourself and for what happens to you. Patience is necessary – change does not come overnight, so give time to change.
Rule No. 5 – Learning is a continuous
processAs long as we live we learn. Get into the “rhythm of life”, do not get stuck. Commit to learning and changing – be humble enough to recognize your own weaknesses, and flexible enough to adapt, because rigidity will deny the freedom of new possibilities.
<>Rule No. 6 – “There” means no better than “here”
The other side of the hill may be greener than yours, but your existence there does not guarantee eternal happiness. Be grateful and enjoy what you have and your journey. Appreciate what is good in your life better than accumulating things that will not lead you to happiness. Living in the present helps you achieve peace.
Rule No. 7 – Others are mirrors that reflect you
You love or hate something about a person in relation to what you love or hate about yourself. Be tolerant; accept others as they are and strive to be aware; strive to understand yourself and objectively perceive your own person, your thoughts and feelings. Negative experiences are opportunities to heal the wounds you have. Help others, and in this way you will help yourself. Where you have been unable to help others is a sign that you are not responding properly to your own needs.
Rule no. 8 – What happens to your life is your choice
You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. Take responsibility on yourself. Learn to quit when you can’t change things. Don’t get annoyed – bitter thoughts darken your mind. Courage is in each of us – use it when you have to do something good for yourself. We all have an innate power and an adventurous spirit, which we should use to embrace what is to come.
Rule No. 9 – The Answers Are Yours
Trust your instincts and feelings, even if you hear them as a faint voice or if they appear as a momentary flash. Listen to your feelings as if they were sounds. See, hear and trust. Use innate inspiration.
Rule No. 10 – You will forget all this at birth
We are all born with these abilities – our first experiences lead us into a physical world, away from our feelings, which become indecisive, cynical, and devoid of faith and trust. The 10 rules are not commandments, they are universal truths that apply to everyone. When you get lost, turn to them. Trust in the power of the spirit. Aspire to wisdom – this is the last trial of life and knows no limits outside of those imposed by you.
